Tips for receiving your KCDA order
Receiving
Have the driver wait until you . . .
Count your cartons.
Inspect for obvious box damage.
Note any missing or damage cartons on the delivery receipt. The carrier will not be responsible for missing items or freight damage unless this information is noted on the Bill of Lading.
Verifying
Separate shipments by "Mark For" using carton numbers.
Check contents of each carton against the packing slip or box manifest to verify all merchandise is received. The packing slip will give you the following information:
Purchase Order Number.
Who order is marked for.
Item number and quantity of each item shipped.
Box number in which each item has been shipped.
Missing Products or concealed damage must be reported to KCDA within 20 days of receipt.
If you are not verifying your order immediately, secure shipment so that it remains intact. |
