KCDA extends its AEPA contracts with Williams Scotsman and Modern Building Systems

The KCDA Board of Directors has extended AEPA Contract #011-D for Portable and Modular Buildings with Williams Scotsman and Modern Building Systems through February 2013. The extension includes price adjustments in accordance with previously announced building code changes. For many school districts with growing enrollment and/or limited capital resources, utilizing modular buildings provides a cost effective alternative to conventional construction. Typically, schools will realize a 5% to 25% cost saving depending on design and materials. As with our other contracts, there are no added KCDA service fees. About AEPA:

The Association of Educational Purchasing Agencies (AEPA) is a nationwide group of educational organizations working collaboratively to save school districts time and money. KCDA is a founding member of AEPA. AEPA develops bids on behalf of agencies in 24 states representing 25 million students and more than $500 million in annual purchases. AEPA contracts are competitively bid in each state by the participating agency, and are tailored to meet each state’s specific legal requirements. As an AEPA member agency, KCDA satisfies each member’s requirement to advertise and bid for these products and services on their own.
