Smart
Classrooms
This August, the KCDA Board of Directors approved a bid award
for Smart Classrooms to Saxton Bradley Inc. This contract offers
the Ideal Classroom designed to engage students thru Technology.
Included under this contract are Sound Enhancements, Interactive
Whiteboards and Quizdom Interactive Learning Systems. Qwizdom
Interactive Learning System are a hand-held devices that allow
teachers to achieve a one-to-one student/technology ratio in a
controlled, and frustration free environment. The system
provides instant feedback and grading, engages and motivates all
students, increases learning and productivity. Teachers can
create their own lessons or questions using text, images,
animations, sound, equations, and more. The students can input
answers for numeric or sequencing problems as well as multiple
choice, true/false, or yes/no questions. For more information,

Edulog
Currently under KCDA contract, EDULOG, a leader in
transportation software, provides innovative and cost-effective
programs to over 1,200 districts across the nation, ranging in
sizes from 200 to 1.3 million students. Edulog offers
administrative software including; School Bus Routing,
Enrollment Studies, Field Trip Management, Fleet Management,
Boundary Planning, Demographic Analysis. Edulog handles all of
the technical maintenance, data entry, and map updates, thus
increasing productivity and efficiency in school districts. For

Expiring Contracts
Furniture
Contracts
KCDA’s Furniture contracts are scheduled for re-bid in December. To ensure 2004 pricing, Saxton Bradley and Virco have agreed to hold prices on orders placed before 12/15/04 for furniture items scheduled for delivery in 2005. Utilizing current contract pricing can mean a cost savings for your district.

Supply
Link Users
The beginning of the school year brings with it
changes in personal. To help with a smooth transition, please
let us know if Supply Link users have changed locations or left
the district. It is particularly important that we quickly
update those identified as cart approvers so that orders from
staff can be acted upon in a timely manner.

Sipping
directly to schools
Many districts have taken advantage of KCDA's ability to ship
directly to the schools. Orders placed by noon for product in
our Kent warehouse can be delivered directly to the end user by
the next day. Please let us know if your district would like to
take advantage of this service
