Services

Start-up Order “Early Bird Special”
KCDA is offering a 1% reduction in service fee for orders shipping from the KCDA warehouse according to the following guidelines:

  • Place your school start up order before 6/1/05

  • Schedule delivery of your districts orders in June or July  

Delivery dates are beginning to fill up… if your district would like to take advantage of this savings, please contact us at customerservice@kcda.org.

Events

Furniture Fair - Open House
On March 31 from 9am to 2pm KCDA will host a Furniture Fair in our Kent warehouse. It is a wonderful opportunity for you spend a moment or two viewing furniture samples and speaking to manufacturers representatives. KCDA “Surplus Auction”
KCDA is hosting the fifth annual “all member” surplus auction. All KCDA members are eligible to participate. 

 

This Auction will be held at the KCDA warehouse.

  • Preview on March 11th from 10am to 3pm.

  • Auction March 12th from 9am to 3pm.

Grays Harbor Mill Tour
Learn everything you ever wanted to know about paper making…but never had the opportunity to ask. KCDA and the Grays Harbor Paper Company will be hosting a tour of the Grays Harbor mill in Hoquiam, Washington in April.  If you are interested in seeing  how paper is made, please contact Melinda Kinsley, mkinsley@kcda.org or by phone 800-422-5019, x127.

New Products

SPLOX
A new way to handle and load paper. This newly designed box weighs only 25lbs and splays open to display 2,500 sheets.  Currently two items are available through KCDA, item 17624 (8-½"x11") 20lb white and 17626 three hole punched. Since the majority of injuries occur while employees are lifting, SPLOX helps combat workplace injuries.

A Survey

Scantron
To Add or Not to Add?  Should KCDA add forms that are compatible with Scantron and NCS classroom scanners?  A local manufacturer provides a full line of test answer sheets, ballots and survey forms fully compatible with the ScantronTM and NCSTM classroom scanners. They have indicated they offer pricing below manufacturer’s list and meet the same quality standards. 

If you are interested please email mkinsley@kcda.org with the following information:

  • Would you like KCDA to make these forms available?

  • What brand are you currently using?

  • What is the manufacturers item number you currently use?

  • Approximately how many sheets do you use per year?

  • What time of year are these forms used (fall/winter etc or a particular month)?
