This contract, available through the KCDA cooperative purchasing program, provides a turnkey school bus stop-arm enforcement solution for school districts in Washington State, Oregon, Idaho, and Alaska.
The program equips entire school bus fleets with AI-powered safety technology to protect students as they enter and exit the bus.
The program includes:
- AI-powered stop-arm safety cameras to detect and capture illegal passings
- End-to-end program management, including coordination with law enforcement and secure evidence delivery
- Interior student safety cameras included as part of the program
This is a violator-funded model, meaning the program is sustained through citation revenue from drivers who illegally pass stopped school buses. This structure helps offset the district’s investment while holding violators accountable for the cost of improving student safety.
Other eligible jurisdictions across the country include Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas, Utah, Washington D.C., Wisconsin, and Wyoming.
