Bart Powelson - Executive Director
Bart Powelson joined KCDA in fall 2022 and serves as Executive Director leading the organization. Bart is responsible to the Board of Directors for the operation of the Purchasing Cooperative within established policies and authorities.
Bart has over 25 years of executive management experience with both public and private companies primarily in the HVAC industry including a Fortune 150 manufacturer, a national building automation and energy start-up, and a regional manufacturers sales representative. His expertise includes P&L management, organizational leadership, strategic planning, business development, new product development, and business process improvements. Prior to joining KCDA, Bart held a variety of management positions with Emerson, Transformative Wave, and Custom Mechanical Solutions.
Bart has both an MBA and a Bachelor of Science in Management with a marketing major from Purdue University.

Yohan Lee - CFO
Yohan Lee has been the Chief Financial Officer of KCDA since August 2019. He has over 30 years of professional experience, including a series of progressive leadership roles overseeing the finance, accounting, internal auditing, and IT functions for successful global companies within the health/e-commerce product/manufacturing area.
Yohan has a Master’s Degree in Accounting, along with the Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA). He is also a member of AICPA, IIA and ISACA.

Kristen Deskin SHRM-SCP - Human Resources Manager - Public Records Officer
Kristen Deskin joined KCDA in March of 2022 as the Human Resources Manager. She has 15 years of leadership experience within non-profit education, for-profit corporate learning, and large, public-sector organizations. With expertise in human capital planning, culture cultivation, attracting diverse talent, and upholding compliance, she is excited to be adding her skills and experience to the Management Team.
Kristen is recognized by the Society for Human Resource Management as Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) and has a specialty credential in Creating Inclusive Workplace Culture.

Thomas Kim - Director of Procurement
Prior to joining KCDA, Thomas was the Purchasing Manager at Catholic Health Initiatives, one of the largest health care systems in the country. Prior to that position, Thomas was a Procurement Project Manager at Microsoft as well as a Procurement and Materials Manager at Amazon. Thomas has an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis and a degree in economics.

Randi Michie - Director of Marketing
Randi Michie joined KCDA Digital Marketing in March 2020 and brings a decade of experience in e-commerce, digital marketing, and customer service for the consumer goods industry working with brands based in the Pacific Northwest such as Ricardo Beverly Hills, C.C. Filson, Starbucks, and Nintendo.
Prior to her current role, Randi served as KCDA’s Digital Marketing Specialist. Randi’s background also includes an Early Childhood Education K-12 degree from Western Washington University.

Barry Fredericks - Warehouse Manager
Barry has worked at KCDA for 20 years and has been the Warehouse Manager since March of 2005. He has over 25 years’ experience in the warehouse and distribution industry.
He graduated from Washington State University with a Bachelor of Science degree. He is a former member of AAHPERD and WAHPERD professional organization and is currently a member of the USTA.
