Our bullet-resistant system leverages your existing glass installations and is designed for diverse environments, including retail outlets, distribution warehouses, K-12 schools, universities, medical facilities, banks, houses of worship, corporate headquarters, and public sector buildings. It delivers ballistic protection on glass as slender as 1/4 inch, enabling one-way protection and shielding that empowers armed security to neutralize threats. Protection levels are customized to match varying risk profiles. Our dedicated corporate installation experts uphold premium standards, steering clear of unreliable outsourced labor. Before application, all current windows require a thorough assessment to verify they are free of defects and fully structurally stable.

Our Riot Resistant laminate delivers durable defense, offering approximately 15-30 minutes of resistance to typical burglary tools while effectively discouraging intruders. At 40% less cost than rival riot-control solutions, it has prevented losses exceeding $1.5 million across more than 50 intrusion incidents. This positions it as the perfect choice for bolstering safeguards on any existing glass 1/4 inch or greater in thickness, delivering economical yet superior window fortification. Prior to installation, all windows undergo evaluation to confirm they are undamaged and mechanically stable.

The Safe Haven Defense SW450 laminate is installed directly on-site to the interior side of existing windows across commercial, municipal, and residential properties. In contrast to conventional smash-resistant glass, it demands no structural alterations or retrofits. Compatible with existing glass as slim as dual-pane 1/8 inch or single-pane 1/4 inch, this solution empowers customers to fortify their facilities effectively while realizing substantial cost reductions versus traditional SR glass options. As with all applications, existing windows must first be evaluated for any damage and confirmed to be structurally robust.

In addition to our window security films, Safe Haven Defense provides Kevlar paneling for purchase and expert installation, delivering tailored ballistic shielding for walls, cubicles, or dedicated safe zones designed to your precise specifications. Our Kevlar Paneling is installed on-site to the interior faces of existing walls, doors, or desks in any structure. Post-application, it can be seamlessly covered with lightweight drywall and textured for a refined finish or enhanced with veneer on door interiors to maintain an attractive aesthetic.

HOW TO ORDER

Members interested in receiving a quote for services should contact the vendor representative listed above. They will work to provide a quote or proposal to you. A valid quote or proposal provided to you must:

• Be signed and dated.
• State the KCDA contract number.
• Identify the approving member’s contact name, e-mail address and phone number.

The quote/proposal from the vendor must include the information listed above to avoid delay of the order process. If necessary, please work with the vendor to ensure this information is included in the proposal/quote provided to you.

Upon review of the vendor quote or proposal, please draft a purchase order made out to KCDA (not the vendor) and submit to the KCDA contract specialist on behalf of your school district or public agency. Once submitted, KCDA will verify your membership and will confirm pricing approved under this contract. Your purchase must include or attach the quote/proposal that was provided to you.

Once approved, KCDA will create and send a KCDA Purchase Order on your behalf to the vendor representative. A copy of the order will be kept on file at KCDA.

• The vendor will not commence delivery, services, or installation from the KCDA contract without receiving a Purchase Order from KCDA. Please do not send a PO or request an order directly to the vendor.
• During the member PO review process, the KCDA Contract Specialist may request additional information from the vendor such as scope of work or item/part number along with pricing for each line item as needed. This may cause a delay in the order process if this information is not included in the quote or proposal.
• If pricing has been negotiated due to volume purchasing, the price must be noted as negotiated and the negotiated price must be less than the firm price quoted. KCDA contract specialists will validate pricing during the review process.
• For warranty or service, please contact the vendor representative listed above.
• KCDA reserves the right to revise this ordering process above at its discretion, if deemed necessary for contract management or audit purposes. An implementation for change will be coordinated with the vendor.
• Orders processed against this contract by customers who are not KCDA members or without e-mailed approval from KCDA are in violation of the contract specifications. Vendors not following proper procedures may be removed from consideration for future awards.
